Maria De La Cruz, Farm Manager Supervisor

Miss Maria is the managerof the San Fernando Farm. She has been working with us since 2008 and has been a key person in helping us with the renovation projects of the two plots of San Fernando. We are proud to be one of the few farms who employs a woman as a supervisor and the results speak for themselves. Through her work we have completed our renovation project and have been able to turn around an abandoned farm into our most successful farm.

Jose Acevedo, General Manager

Because every ship needs a captain. Coordinating daily tasks, overseeing the correct completion of tasks every day, research and development, Jose is at the forefront of San Fernando every day. He also manages all of our social media outlets and client relationships and is in charge of the development of our wet and dry processing station. He is also our roaster and resident cupper; he creates blends for our local market.

Jose was raised to be a wholesome grower by his parents having worked every single job at the farm and at the drying patios from picking to de pulping, fermenting and dry milling. He started scrapping his knees at the farm when he was only five years old and the dirt and the hard work of the mountain has shaped him into the leader San Fernando needs to face the challenges of a global world of coffee.

In order to broaden his perspectives and leadership skills Jose pursued a Bachelor in Business Administration at Texas Christian University, graduating in 2014 with “The Journey Award” and the “Entrepreneurial Leadership Award” from the Neeley School of Business. He also holds a Masters Degree in Science and Economics of Coffee from the University of Trieste, Italy.
