Coffee as any crop is not isolated, it’s part of the environment and communities around it. Two of our farms, La Sabaneta and San Fernando are Rainforest Alliance certified. We do this to minimize the impact our growing practices have on nature and, to ensure the people that we work with have a comfortable and safe working environment. We also work to create growing practices that work in conjunction with nature. One example of this are our continued efforts in grafting which allow us to naturally fight soil borne pathogens and insects harmful to coffee roots. We also contribute regularly to the local county schools and health clinics that serve our communities.
